(114**) Knihovna v Praze a sloup vědění

Ahoj, dnes spolu jdeme do knihovny. Chci ti ukázat něco zvláštního, něco bizarního, něco podivného. Ale také něco velmi zajímavého. Jsme v městské knihovně v Praze. Městská knihovna v Praze je velká. A chodí sem hodně lidí. A taky hodně turistů.

Mno. Když si přečteš 8 000 knih, myslím, že budeš chytřejší. Myslím si, že toho budeš vědět víc. 🙂 Vědění od slovesa vědět. Jméno je věda a kdo dělá vědu? Vědec dělá vědu a vědec toho hodně ví.

Když tě nekdo ruší, mají tu špunty do uší. Dáš si do uší špunty a nic neslyšíš.

A když chceš pracovat, mají ideální podmínky.

No jó, miluju knihovny!

And if you want to offer me a virtual coffee for 1€, you can do that on www.tipeee.com/slowczech

Tak díík. A ahóój!

    Dear Eliška,

Thank you very much for your text and video.

I have a small question about your text, though.

You say the sentence “A chodí sem hodně lidí” in the first paragraph. My question’s what’s the difference of saying “A chodí SEM hodně lidí”, “A chodí TADY hodně lidí”, and “A chodí ZDE hodně lidí.”?

Thank you very much in advance.

    Hi Sheldon,
thanks for this great question 🙂 The difference is this “kam” vs. “kde” logic.
    Jsem doma vs. Jdu domů.
Jsem v restauraci vs. Jdu do restauraci.
Jsem v Brně vs. Jedu do Brna.
    Jsem tady/zde vs. Jdu sem.
(tady = méně formální, zde = více formální)
    Rozumíš? 🙂
    Eliška

Sorry! It should be “rozumím”. I’m very used to say “nerozumím” already. =)

business, mother, polyglote

I am slowczech founder and from my experience I know two things: beginners can understand words with time. And enjoyable input is vital for natural language acquisition. Many give up Czech due to old methods, irrelevant vocabulary or overwhelming grammar. Let’s change that and make learning Czech exciting and effective.
