(11) In English 04 Spoken Czech – Let’s have a beer!

Hello everyone,

I hope you have not lost your motivation for Czech language. However, if so I will do my best to lift up your spirit! Let’s talk about BEER 🙂

„Hele, co takhle pivo?“ (How about a beer?)

„Hej, dobrej nápad. Hned bych šel, ale nemůžu! Musim (Musím) ještě zpátky do práce, sakra.“

„Čeče, to je napytel. Proč tolik makáš?“ (Dude, it sucks.)

„To můj šef, pořád mi dává ňáký (nějaký) deadliny.“

„A co zejtra? Sejdem se po devátý, dáme jedno dvě piva a pokecáme o tenise, když je ten French
Open, co?“ (Let’s meet after 9, have a beer, chat.)

„Zejtra by to šlo! Kde se sejdem? Jako dycky (vždycky)?“ (Works for me! Do we meet as usually?)

„No jasně! Jako dycky! Není lepšího baru v Praze: hezký holky, dobrý pivo! Víc k životu nepotřebuju.“

„Haha, čeče, teď (j)si na to kápnul!“ (Dude, you’ve just put the finger on it!) „Tak zejtra!“

„Čus!“

  1. I prefer when it is only Czech – when I studied in Brno our class was only in Czech, like immersion. I learned faster that way. I love love your site! Great excellent work! Děkuju!! ?

    1. Jen, many thanks for your comment. I totally agree with you, the 100% immmersion works much better. However, many people asked me – is there any English traslation? And I have to admit, that if you are a complete beginner, you will not understand at all and it might demotivate you.

    1. Kelsea, moc děkuji! If you need any topic, let me know, I will record it for you! 🙂

  2. Great lesson! I enjoy the Czech-only recordings, but this type of English-Czech lesson is very enjoyable too!
    Děkuji mockrát!
