(196**) Eliška: Nový dům a už/už ne/ještě/ještě ne

Sleduj (follow) Instagram slowczech.

Jaké je téma dnešní epizody? Nedávno jsem měla moc fajn lekci s mými dvěma studentkami. Jedna je Američanka a jedna je Němka a obě bydlí v Brně. A trénovaly jsme “už ne” a “ještě ne“.

Už ne = not anymore (Už nemám hlad. Už nechci pít.)

Ještě = still, more (Ještě jsem v práci. Musím dnes ještě nakoupit.)

Ještě ne = not yet (Ještě neumím dobře arabsky.

Už nemusíme chodit do druhého patra. A protože všechno taky chceme opravit sami.

A co teď naopak můžeme dělat, když už nebydlíme v bytě? můžeme sedět na zahradě, protože máme zahradu. můžeme investovat do domu, protože je náš a chceme investovat. můžeme dát věci, které nepotřebujeme každý den, do garáže, protože máme garáž. můžeme opravovat našeho Landrovera doma, protože máme garáž.

A co ty? Už jsi dnes večeřel(a)? Ráda píšu epizody na přání (at your request). Ty si přeješ nějakou epizodu a já ji napíšu.

No jo, je neděle, a proto nebudu dělat nic moc…

    Dear Eliška,

    I like your slowczech.
If I could suggest that you can speak faster because when we do the conversation with normal Czech on the street or at Urad, they don’t speak slowly.Lots of situation is they loss their patience when you speak slowly.
I hope you can understand me.
    Wish u a good day
    Best regards
    Chuan

    Ahoj Chuan,

business, mother, polyglote

I am slowczech founder and from my experience I know two things: beginners can understand words with time. And enjoyable input is vital for natural language acquisition. Many give up Czech due to old methods, irrelevant vocabulary or overwhelming grammar. Let’s change that and make learning Czech exciting and effective.
