(186***) Ema: Martin přijel na bílém koni

Eliška: Ahoj, jak to dneska jde? Dnešní epizoda je opravdu zajímavá, protože se týká magického datumu 11. 11. a legendy o Martinovi. Tuto epizodu napsala a namluvila členka týmu slowczech Ema. S Emou jsi ještě nemohl/a vidět rozhovor na YouTube, ale neboj – brzy ho uvidíš! Už je v plánu! Jinak ti chci ještě připomenout, že slowczech má teď taky Instagram – mrkni, jsou tam fakt pěkné a vtipné ilustrace. Ale teď už nebudu dál mluvit, předávám slovo Emě. Ready? Jdeme na to!

Ema: Ahoooj, tady Ema. Budeš to dneska ty, kdo naučí se česky, pomalu a hezky? Doufám, že ano! Tak pojďme na to! Dneska se budeme bavit o svátku svatého Martina. Tady jsou slovíčka, která budeš potřebovat pro snadnější porozumění:  

Svátek – den, kdy vzpomínáme na nějakého důležitého člověka, lidé často v tento den nepracují a oslavují, feast day a nebo můžeme slavit jméno v kalendáři, name day

Husa –   vodní pták, který má oranžový nebo žlutý zobák, goose

Astronom –  člověk, který se zabývá pozorováním vesmíru, astronomer

Astrolog –  člověk, který se zabývá vlivem pohybu planet na člověka, astrologer

Numerologie –  pseudověda, která zkoumá význam čísel, numerology

Liché číslice – čísla 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13………….., odd numbers

Křesťanství – náboženství, které se zabývá životem a učením Ježíše, Christianity

Legenda – příběh, který se zabývá životem a činy svatých lidí = světců (například svatého Martina), legend

Plášť – druh oblečení, dlouhý kus látky, například Harry Potter často nosil plášť, doktoři nosí bílý plášť, coat

Žebrák – člověk, který nemá peníze a žádá o ně ostatní, beggar 

Kázání – projev s náboženským obsahem, řeč v kostele, preaching

Svatý Martin přijel na bílém koni

Kdo byl sv. (svatý) Martin a proč ti o něm chci vyprávět? 11.11. nebo taky 11. listopadu má v kalendáři svátek Martin. V tento den my Češi říkáme, že přijel Martin na bílém koni. Co to znamená? Znamená to, že přišla zima! V zimě padá bílý sníh, proto na bílém koni. Brrrrrr! říkáme, když nám je zima.  

Svátek svatého Martina slavíme každý rok 11.11. Myslíš, že toto datum je magické? Já ano! Můj přítel se mi směje, když říkám, že každé číslo má svůj význam, protože je astronom (POZOR, ne astrolog !:-), a tak nevěří na numerologii. Ale já si myslím, že některá data jsou magická. Myslel si to například i Karel IV., který nechal zkonstruovat slavný Karlův most ve speciálním čase (v roce 1357 9.7. v 5:31). Vidíš ta lichá čísla?  

Ale teď pojďme zpátky k Martinovi.  Kdo to vlastně byl? Narodil se roku 316 na území dnešního Maďarska. Když byl Martin ještě malý, přestěhoval se s rodiči do severní Itálie, kde se hodně přiblížil křesťanství. V patnácti letech musel odejít do armády a stát se vojákem. Jako voják působil ve Francii, kde strávil velkou část svého života. Říkalo se, že byl velmi skromný a měl dobré srdce. Dokazuje to i jedna z nejznámějších legend, legenda o plášti. Jak to tedy bylo? V roce 335 v noci v zimě potkal Martin ve městě Amiens (město v severní Francii) žebráka, člověka, který neměl peníze. Byl chudý. Neměl moc dobré oblečení, a tak poprosil Martina o pomoc. Martin měl jenom svůj plášť, a tak ho mečem rozdělil na dvě části a jednu část dal žebrákovi. Martinovi se pak v noci zdál sen. Viděl Ježíše, jak je oblečený v plášti, který daroval žebrákovi. Brzy po tomto snu odešel Martin z armády, vstoupil do křestanské církve a dělal zázraky. Například dal život dvěma lidem. Nakonec se stal i biskupem a šířil křesťanství mezi lidmi. Myslím, že je to moc hezká legenda a docela věřím, že se to doopravdy stalo.

A jak slavíme tento svátek v České republice? Stejně jako k českým Vánocům patří Ježíšek, k svátku sv. Martina patří pečená husa. Já miluju pečenou husu!Pečená husa je to proto, že se připravuje v troubě a peče se. Tradičně se jí s knedlíky a se zelím. Rozhodla jsem se, že letos poprvé v životě zkusím upéct husu. Pekla jsem ji 14 hodin. Všem moc chutnala! A proč vlastně patří k tomuto svátku husa? Říká se, že když měl Martin kázání, rušily ho husy. A tak moc ho husy rušily při kázání, že se rozhodl je dát za trest upéct. A tak husy skončily v troubě. Jinak taky pečeme tradiční rohlíčky. Jsou sladké a pečou se například s tvarohem, mákem nebo ořechy. Mňam! Ty mám taky moc ráda! Tento svátek ale neslavíme jen jídlem, ale hlavně tím, že navštěvujeme rodinu. Protože byla letos karanténa a za rodinou jsme nemohli, upekla jsem husu jen pro sebe a svého astronoma!:-)

Eliška: Díky, Emo, za zajímavou epizodu. A ty, fanoušku slowczech teď víš,, proč je 11. 11. v Česku důležité datum. Jako malá jsem se vždy těšila na 11. 11., protože byla velká šance, že bude sněžit. Letos, bohužel, nesněžilo. Většinou sněží až později, až v prosinci nebo v lednu. No, už se nemůžu dočkat, až bude sněžit. Miluju sníh a zasněžené hory a lesy. Je to krása vyjet mimo město a podívat se do zasněžené přírody. Taky to máš tak rád(a)? Jinak, jako vždy, transkript této epizody je na www.slowczech.com.     Líbí se mi moc váše stranka, ale nerozumím proč musíte tady překladat káždá slova v anglictíně. Je trošku otravné. Tady je “advanced” …. taky je škoda použivate anglictinu pro toto slovo, myslím že studenti by mohli rozumět bez angličtiny.

    Jistě dobře víte, že každý člověk je jiný, každý student je jiný, každý lektor je jiný.
    Někdo upřednostňuje výuku bez zprostředkovacího jazyka, někomu vyhovuje přesný překlad, aby si byl schopen v hlavě vytvořit ten správný spoj a zapamatovat si slovo.
    Možností, jak (se) učit jazyky, je nespočet. A ani jeden z nich podle mého není otravný 🙂

    Slovo husa má význam je hloupá žena. V Rusku znamená domýšlivý nebo vysoký člověk. Horkovzdušný balón evokuje k cestování.
