(180*) Eliška: Měla jsem svátek! (ENG/CZE)

Ahoj, jak se máš? Jak to jde? Co je novýho? /ENG/ Dneska pro tebe mám novou epizodu pro začátečníky. /ENG/ Mluvím napůl česky a napůl anglicky. /ENG/. /ENG/ Nejdřív budu mluvit jenom česky /ENG/ a potom anglicky a česky.

To stojí asi 1000,- Kč.

A co to vlastně znamená, když mám svátek?

Although I’d suggest not using this method for every beginner’s podcast. It works very well as a ‘break’ from the usual podcasts in full Czech but I find listening in full Czech does more for my learning as my brain has to work harder (ha ha!). Having the lines repeated in English after the Czech does the work for me and think I may learn less – time will tell.

Regarding the transcript: I’m not sure if I came across some mistyping where word order differed from that which was spoken, then again it might be my comprehension…

Thank you again. Keep the podcasts coming.

    Ahoj.

    James,
    díky moc za feedback.
To be honest, it takes way more time and the episode is longer,… So I will not use this method for every beginner’s podcast. Hehe. Thank you 🙂
In the transcript, I think that I in both, Czech and Eng/Czech readings I did not read 100% the same words. So I apologize. It is not your fault, on contrary. You understand perfectly 🙂

Musím nejdřív napsat i německý text 😀 A to je hodně práce! Jsem líná 😛

I am slowczech founder and from my experience I know two things: beginners can understand words with time. And enjoyable input is vital for natural language acquisition. Many give up Czech due to old methods, irrelevant vocabulary or overwhelming grammar. Let’s change that and make learning Czech exciting and effective.
